SEAA INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The SEAA regrets that we had to cancel Day 2 & Day 3 of the 2013 Indoor Championships

at Lee Valley on the 19th/20th January.

The main reason for doing so was our concern for the safety of both athletes and officials. With the severe adverse weather conditions and the forecast for those two days, we came to the view that there would be many athletes, and officials, who would not be able to reach the venue – let alone worry about getting home. We thus came to the reluctant conclusion that the responsible action was to cancel the event.

Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we will be unable to reschedule the Indoor Championships for this year. All athletes who entered the Championships will have their entry fees refunded, although this may take some time to complete. However, the SEAA is unable to refund any other costs incurred by athletes and officials for this event.

We do hope you will understand and support our action, and we look forward to seeing you at the Outdoor Championships during the summer.
